D.I.Y=do it yourself its kind of a homemade arts and crafts thing. D.I.Y is better for you because that art or craft really brings joy to the family because you made it yourself. Nobody else helped you that might make you happy because you should feel proud for yourself. So next time you do a D.I.Y project feel proud for yourself

Avatars refer to a concept that is not any different at all from your "real" name as also only concept. This is a spiritual question because, in fact, there is nothing such as a You that exists. The You/Me/I which folks think they are is a linguistic convention for something that exists only in a dualistic consciousness. Importantly and ultimately, there is not a You and Your Life. There is not God except as your dualistic consciousness thinks one up. Knowing this or even just acting as if this were true changes behavior in a positive way. Thinking there is a God usually (not always) results in the worst kind of behavior because of the divisive delusion and ultimate arrogance it is based on. The practice of remembering and reminding one's "self" this is usually called religion in the broadest sense. Kshetra means a field of action and a holy place - sometimes site of a war - which affects consciousness in the way that physics describes reality. The World Trade Center Site in New York is one such Kshetra.

Do it yourself, often referred to by the acronym DIY, is a term used by various communities that focus on people (called do-it-yourselfers or DIYers) creating or repairing things for themselves without the aid of "on-duty, work-stationed" paid professionals. Many DIYers may in fact be off-duty or retired professionals.

The notion is related in philosophy to the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many modern DIY subcultures take the traditional Arts and Crafts movement's rebellion against the perceived lack of soul of industrial aesthetics a step further. DIY subculture explicitly critiques modern consumer culture, which emphasizes that the solution to our needs is to purchase things, and instead encourages people to take technologies into their own hands to solve needs.

The phrase "do it yourself" came into common usage in the 1950s in reference to various jobs that people could do in and around their own houses without the help of professionals. A very active community of people continues to use the term DIY to refer to fabricating or repairing things for home needs, on one's own rather than purchasing them or paying for professional repair. In other words, home improvement done by the householder without the aid of paid professionals.

In recent years, the term DIY has taken on a broader meaning that covers a wide range of skill sets. Today, for example, DIY is associated with the international alternative and hardcore music scenes. Members of these subcultures strive to blur the lines between creator and consumer by constructing a social network that ties users and makers close together. There are various communities of media-makers that consider themselves DIY, for example the indymedia network, pirate radio stations, and the zine community.

"DIY" means "Do It Yourself", as many DIY kits will give you the materials and instructions on how to make something, but then you will have to assemble it yourself.

My name means "artful and creative". At least my mom says that that is what the baby book said. lol. Uhm, because...Our names give us a sense of identity in the physical world, and our souls are the source of our identity in the spiritual world. Therefore, in a spiritual sense, to be aware of one's own identity is to be aware of the nature of their own soul.
